A paradoxical painting that displays the complexity of life, especially as a follower of Christ. A ballerina who is meant to spin has been placed on a narrow path lined with a beautiful yet dangerous vice; the rose bush. Light glimmers through the trees while the approaching route closes in. The ballerina is tasked neither to toil nor spin out of control, for her own safety, yet it is the only thing she can think about doing. Just as Christ calls us to be faithful and not to be anxious, we are to resist the inward urge and look to the birds. Because how much more does our Heavenly Father love us? Matthew 6:25-34
This painting is apart of my second addition of Renaissance & Friends Collection. It is a rebirth of my artistic practice spurred on by the pursuit of technical refinement and the intense trials of life.
