Now that we’re all caught up, it’s fall. The leaves are turning, the temperature dipping, and everyone is settling into new routines. Over the spring and summer I worked on commissions, a piano project (which I have yet to write about here), and enjoyed the world around me. At the Parkwood estate market in June I did something different in taking up the boldness I left in the past. I had scripture art on full display. And unashamedly remarked that I am a Christian. Many people looked over the table, stopped at the hand lettered verses… and immediately left. Which isn’t good for business, but one thing God is good for is keeping His promises. There were just as many individuals who stopped by to ENCOURAGE me in my pursuit, people who were grateful to see the Word of God on full display. And I pray that in the future more and more people will stop, and listen, and ask about my God. The God who provided everything I needed to attend those very events.
Now that I have found boldness in publicly displaying Faith-based artwork I have started to embed it in paintings like the one you see here. I Lift My Eyes
